woodyw3hiiWelcome! The Silver Springs Radio Club is a dynamic group of active amateur radio operators in Marion County, Florida.

Our club supports a well rounded range of all kinds of amateur radio related activities. The club also has a very well equipped ham radio station available to members and operates with the call sign K4GSO.

We will be conducting classes for the General License in September. These classes will thoroughly prepare you for the test and enable you to be confident in taking it. Plan now to take the classes and the test.

Our next SSRC Club meeting will be at 7:30 PM on Tuesday, August 16. We'll be having a really great program on that evening. I am looking forward to to seeing there.   73, Woody, W3HII.

     Harold (Woody) Wood, W3HII, President

MERT members can work at the Emergency Operations Center (EOC), Hospitals or storm shelters. A background check, training and a certain level of participation are required. MERT is similar to the ARRL Amateur Radio Emergency Service (ARES). If you are interested in serving, please contact Earl Sweeny, K4LSB at 352-236-0180 or 352-369-8194.
